I've been away from SparkPeople for quite awhile, but I have a question about the team goals. I see that one of the goals is to get 8 hours of sleep, and while I understand getting proper rest is important, I am not an 8 hour sleep a night person, never have been at my 44 years of age. I'm more like a 6-7 hour sleeper, so I want to know if it's cheating if I sign up and say I slept 8 hours even though my natural clock will wake me at 6 hours?
Anyway, glad to be part of this team, I am so much more ready to be part of the Clean Eaters than I ever have been! I'm growing my own garden with Heirloom and/or organic plants, but unfortunately some of my soil amendments aren't completely 100% organic - free steer manure and straw from neighbor farmers are most likely not, so I can't claim 100% organic, but I do not use pesticides or herbicides on my garden, I don't really use anything else besides the above mentioned. And as far as buying from the store, I buy almost always organic - when I can or it's available. But my biggest emphasis right now is pushing for GMO labeling, because when I can't buy organic, I want to know if it's GMO and I want to be able to decide if that's worth it for me, or if I can do without.
