Eating out is really the biggest challenge I face. I don't eat out often but it's always a dilemma and I anguish over it before I get to the restaurant and then afterwards whether or not I eat the right things.
I don't eat much at chain restaurants and almost never at fast food joints.
The problem is that you never know what they are putting into the food. So you "push away the bread" (if you can - I often cannot), and order a big salad. I do treat myself to Blue Cheese dressing on the side so I can control my consumption of that. I order an unsweetened ice tea and add splenda. I will order a cup of soup if it's not creamed. The other day I had a cup of lentil soup that was really good but I have no idea how much fat it contained or how many calories it held so ...
People tell me that I am obsessing over the calories but I lost almost 50 lbs now and there is not way on earth I am going back there ... No, not never!
Anyway, I am a little particular about what I eat.
