Welcome TEENIE BEANIE (cute name), I'm fairly new too, about 2 weeks or so clean now. What works best for me being new is reading labels. If it has sugar or chemicals in it, I don't eat it I think your menu looks pretty good, but I'd read the label on the dressing. I don't know that brand, so don't know what's all in it. A lot of dressings add sugar. Everything else looks pretty good (well, except for the lima beans, but that's just me) Pretty impressive for a college student! I've replaced equal with Stevia, and it is lower calorie than maple syrup. You may want to read that label too, they may have added sugar even to organic maple syrup. I feel like crap because I am eating crap. That was my revelation today.

So I want to feel better and look better, therefore I must eat better. I will lose 43 lbs by New Years so I can put the weight in 08 behind me.

I want a healthier lifestyle. I started by quitting smoking. I don't go out drinking like I did when I first turned 21. I am focusing on getting more sleep, exercising and being healthier all around. I think clean eating will help.

Because I just came to this realization, I will start tomorrow...

If anyone has any comments or suggestions, I would love to hear them :o) I need all the help I can get.

Oh and a lot of what I am putting on my menu is what I already have in the house (poor college student) because I need to use up what I have before I shop for more stuff.

B:
1/2 c. egg beaters
2 strips turkey bacon
1 c. black coffee with 1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa and 1 tsp organic maple syrup
1 c. skim milk

S:
celery
laughing cow low fat cheese wedge

L:
tossed salad
tuna (canned in water)
good seasons italian dressing

S:
celery
laughing cow cheese

D:
chicken breast
tossed salad
lima beans
good seasons italian dressing


Thank you in advance for any help.

I could make a trip to the grocery store today if that menu is completely off track. PLease let me know. (I can probably afford a couple items)
