I agree, and the training it is taking me not to jump on all the time! On one or another of these threads, there was the once-a-week only challenge, and that really helped me back off a bit, but I'm looking more often now....emoticon

I think the scale can almost be our worst enemy at times. It's like it is taunting us to get on and see how it's changed. Some days I get on twice, other days not at all. It's like a yo yo.

Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee!

Hi Christine & Eunice!

I hear ya and can totally relate. I actually had my Husband hide the scale! It was really difficult at first and there are some days when I think about searching the house...how crazy is that! LOL He assures me I won't find it! The scale would actually determine what my mood would be for the day. So I just wanted to say...you are making great progress! Keep up the great work. We are all on this road together!

Welcome to the club, I thought I was the only one.
Every time I see a scale I feel the impulse to weigh my self.
But I am also getting better, I have been trying to do it only in the morning.emoticon

Hi, my name is Christine, and I'm a compulsive weigher.

There was a time when I was weighing 2 and even 3 times a day, analyzing every weight fluctuation, trying to decide if I could -really- gain or lose 2 pounds within a day.

I'm getting better, down to about twice a week, though sometimes I slip... I wish I had the self control to weigh twice a month or even once a month, but that will probably never happen. I would be happy sticking to one weigh in day per week.

Monday is my weigh in day, and I'm not sure if it was the time change, but I completely forgot to weigh myself today. Which is probably a very good thing.
