you can check the Forum for good dvds and links to practice Yoga, breathing is one technique to relax your body and being able to improve your sleep. Barbara Benagh has a dvd(you can check it on Netflix) named "Yoga for stress relief," which has a series of poses and breathing techniques for "troubled sleep, including insomnia". The poses can be done in your bed, it is restorative Yoga. You also could benefit practicing Meditation to quiet your mind, we just finished the Healing Rhythm Meditation Challenge(check the last session which is still available until July 1).
Hi, Tammy. I'm too new to all of this myself to be any help to you, I hope you can get lots of advice. Someone shared some tape titles with me earlier, some could be done from a chair. I'll find them again if no one else mentions them. Just wanted to say hi and you'll be so glad you are taking steps to be healthier--what a blessing that will be to you and to those you love. I'm 45 with 3 kids, too.

Hi, I'm Tammy. A single mother of 3 and I am 41 yrs old. I am very new to yoga but I am very interested in it. I am 200 lbs over weight and it is very hard for me to get up and down from the floor and my balance isn't great either.. I have a pm yoga tape that I just picked up a few days ago and I haven't yet tried it. But I will be hopefully tonight before bed. I have trouble getting to sleep often and I am hoping that this will help me to fall asleep easier.. it always seems I have so much going on in my head.. are there any poses that would be easier for me to do each night with my limitations?
