Welcome to Spark and Yoga Lovers. I practice Adamantine yoga - a practice created by my teacher, James Miller. It is somewhat related to Ashtanga. I practice 5 mornings a week in a guided self practice with my teacher and on Sat. AM at home. I take Sunday off. I have been following this routine since February. The more I practice, the more I find changes in how I am living my life as a yogini.

What a pleasure to find the Yoga Lovers team and know that there are so many yogis on the site.
I'm a regular yoga practitioner who tries to live her yoga in all aspects of my life. In terms of my asana practice, for studio work I practice a style of vigorous vinyasa yoga at a magnificent hot yoga studio 3-5 times per week. In terms of a home practice what I do may vary depending on the day.
I am a 50 year old vegetarian who eats mostly plants and very rarely eats eggs or dairy (about a 98% vegan). I joined Sparkpeople because I wanted to track my eating to see if I was getting adequate nutrients. In addition, I thought tracking my food was a good way to bring more mindfulness to what I eat.
Although I'm fit in terms of cardio and strength, I carry 20 extra pounds, so I am hoping that bringing more attention to what I am eating will help me let go of some of them!
I am 50 and happily married to a (carnivore) husband and have three great children.
