Thank you for the kind welcome. I basically practice Iyengar style yoga, although I also do some vinyasa, mostly as Sun Salutations. I love holding the asanas and exploring in depth the feelings they bring up. I also like the way my limbs feel like strands of spaghetti afterwards. Lovely!

Returning to Sparkpeople after a couple of years (and a lot of pounds, sadly). I've been doing yoga for about 10 years, with a few slack periods during which I've eaten mindlessly, gained weight and let the aches and stiffness take over my body again.

On the plus side, however, I'm back to eating sanely and have joined the new Y in my community. I do water aerobics twice a week, and have started a strength program. But what I'm most excited about is the yoga class I just joined which will be starting in a couple of weeks! My plan is to do Sun Salutations every morning, along with at least 2 full (45+ minutes) yoga sessions a week.

I'm very happy to have found this team!
