Thanks! I believe Yoga has helped me to slow down and actually be present, in the moment. Well, I've been practicing Yoga for over 5 years, but I really do consider myself a beginner. Even after losing the 60 lbs. there are quite of few poses I still can't do. I'll get there someday. Yoga makes me sweat but in an entirely different way. I've always thought I had to run or do some high cardio exercise to get in a good workout, but that's not always the case. I do enjoy running and the elliptical machine, but Yoga has many of it's own benefits as well. It brings such peace to me. I feel happy and limber, more awake, and I've noticed that being faithful to the practice (meditation also goes along with my Yoga), I don't get upset with things that I used to. I don't practice it as often as I would like, but I get in a few sessions a week. I have the Namaste cd's that I usually do, and Steve Ross used to have a show on tv called INHALE which I LOVED. Unfortunately it's not on anymore. I wish he would come out with a cd. If you have a recommendations, I'm open. Thanks for writing and I'll check out the forum.

Hi there. I just joined the Sparkpeople team and I'm loving it!! I've lost 60 lbs. on my own, but have been at a plateau for months so I needed something like this to renew my health journey!! I'm just learning how to nagivate through this website, so your patience is appreciated! This is the first time I'm posting a message. I can not thank you enough for this!! It's AMAZING!!
