Hello and welcome to the team! Paleo does help a lot because it cuts out all refined/processed foods and you eat healthy organic stuff. Cutting back on refined carbs does really help with the weight loss on someone with PCOS from my experience.
Hi new friends! Hope you are all well. I was so excited to find this team! ...so excited to find others who are dealing with PCOS. It can be a lonely road... I was diagnosed at 19 (10 years ago), but always had irregular periods. I just recently went on metformin (or some variation of it) and I am feeling SO much better...like I might have energy to go for a walk or try a new recipe. I am so blessed to have finally found a doctor who actually checked my hormones and told me the truth about what is going on with my body! My doctor recommended the paleo diet, as this has worked for her (she has pcos herself). I understand that losing weight might not actually happen, but I am excited to try and am going to focus, mostly, on forming healthy habits. ..I'm super excited to be here with all of you and I hope to find and give support and challenge! :)
