Welcome. I can tell you from experience that it is indeed harder to lose and easier to gain weight. However, don't let that get in your head and discourage you. You CAN lose weight! The trick will be finding what works for you. I find that lower carbs than is generally recommended is best for me. I allow myself to eat whole grain and complex carbs, but in moderation. I also allow myself to eat "other" less productive carbs on occasion, because if "cant" then that is what I want. For me this balance has allowed me to continue to be mindful of healthy choices and listen to what my body wants and needs. After a month, I am down 11 pounds and my body hates many of the things I used to eat without a second thought.

welcome to the team. I will admit it is tough, but we can do it! I just joined the spark team to learn to run. I've always wanted to run, so this is my chance. I feel myself stronger and healthier every day, even if I haven't dropped that much weight yet (12lbs), but I'm determined to do it!
