Hi All, I am a 32 year old social worker. I was first diagnosed with PCOS at 18 after having a cyst rupture during a movie and not have any clue what was going on. I ended up have my first pelvic exam at the ER and the DR told me I had PCOS no real explanation and I went on Birth control. Years later I had a laperoscopy to confirm it. At about that same time Was the first time a doctor told me that my weight would affect my ability to have children and I was bout 50 pounds lighter then. Over the years I have tried off and on to lose weight. After my Husband and I got married in 2006 we stopped using all birth control and after a year of nothing that is when we did clomid for the fist time. That wasn't working so my DR was going to refer out but then he died and Both me and my husband got into grad school so we decided to wait till we were done to try officially again but we didn't prevent it either. So Now We have graduated and I have started talking to a new Dr and they want to refer my to a local reproductive clinic that I am avoiding making an appointment with because I am scared. So that is my story in a nut shell. I am almost down 10 pound from where I started. Any help and support you could give me would be great I don't have any friends on spark people and would like to get more support.

Thanks :) Jennette
