The migraine, unfortunately, could be caused by withdrawal from the caffeine found in certain sodas. If this is the case, it will pass.
As much as it may sound preachy, losing 5lb in three days isn't healthy and noone should be aiming for that level of loss. From what you mention in your post, you're still losing just not as fast as your friend - remember that studies have shown that slower weight loss is more likely to lead to maintenance of that weight loss.
Only you can decide if a weight loss regime is working for you but I would urge you not to fall for the numerous fad diets out there. A healthy, balanced, calorie-controlled diet is really the way to go.

So besides being extremely stressed out, I have been exercising 2-3 hours a day, Eating about 1300 calories (doc wants me to do 1000) and in terrible pain from my fibro I have only lost.8 pounds. MY roommate and I started dieting on the same day. I am doing low calorie and she is doing no carbs and ephedrine (diet pill). She has lost 5lbs since Tuesday. GRRRR What am I doing wrong?? I have a horrible migraine since I totally gave up soda and just feel like this isn't working. HELP PLEASE! Should I be on a different diet?
PS where can I get a tracker?
