My name is Brandon and I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2009 after presenting with symptoms after I gave birth to my daughter in 2006. From July of 2006 to November 2006, I went from 180 lbs to 250 lbs, but my GYN said I didn't have PCOS because my ovaries weren't enlarged, even though my scans showed follicles and the radiologist said I was in the beginning stages of it. She swore I was just having a flare of my Crohn's Disease when I went 3 solid months with no cycle. In 2009, I started having cysts rupture and I went back in for another scan and I had full blown PCOS- and was put on metformin. In 2010, I had to have surgery to remove a giant cyst that wouldn't resorb or rupture and they found endometriosis. From March 2010 to December 2010, I worked really hard and lost 30 lbs and have kept it off. My doctor keeps me on continuous low hormone birth control and that has really controlled the cysts, but makes it hard to keep losing weight.
I'm here to keep losing the weight that I gained so fast I couldn't even believe it!
