Get New! Sorry I'm just getting back to you. You've come to the right board. I instantly felt that I belonged, which is nice.
It sounds like you are in the right mindset for things to go right for you. Ask your questions, don't feel like you can't ever ask them believe me that is the only way to get them answered. :)
Right now I'm having issues with moving my body. I had shoulder surgery on 12/9 and when the surgeon said I couldn't do Zumba right now I kind of just sat around in my own little world. I received my wake up call yesterday at a med check with my dr when she said that I've gained 19lbs in 2 months. Um yeah that is when I was told I couldn't do the one thing that I was excited to do. :( So now I'm back on the horse again.
I too believe anything is possible through God. I pray that he keeps my head on straight and helps me get back to healthy. I'm tired of being threatened with the thought of diabetes as well.
Have a great day and here is to a wonderful start.
I'm new to Spark, but not new to PCOS unfortunately. I am 34 and have had PCOS and diagnosed my whole life. It is so true that the weight is harder to come off, however, through hard work and exercise and taking the medication it is a little less hard. Having friends who know what you are going through is a great thing. My dr will not let me have any of those options as I did lose 50lbs before I got pregnant with the help of metformin and chlomid. now back down to 40lbs gone with the old fashion way, you will be fine.
Hello Everyone. I hope you are all having a fabulous day!!! I am pretty new to Sparks and my knowledge of PCOS. I am 36 year young single lady with no kids (Although I hope to have many one day)!! I was not diagnosed with PCOS until about 3 or 4 years ago. It was missed by all up until that time. Although I was extremely irregular and had all the symptoms since about the 9th grade. I actually had never heard of it so when my newly med school grad OBGYN told me I did not really accept it. I refused to take the meds because they made me very ill. Now I have put on over 100 lbs and I have been told over and over with PCOS it will be extremely hard for me to lose the weight. My doctors have suggested the Gastric, Lap Band, HGC diet but I really want to do it the old fashion way…Work OUT and Push away from the table. I am now taking my meds and believing that through God I will be successful on this journey. I will probably have tons of questions for you all about PCOS so please be patient with me. I am looking forward to being an encouragement to you and receiving the same!! Thanks for letting me join your team ladies!!! Many Blessings!!
