Hi! Welcome to the team! Good for you that you want to improve your life and find out the answers to living with PCOS. I was diagnosed not too long ago myself back in September of 07. PCOS really hasn't deeply impacted my life yet because I'm not married, not planning any children any time soon, and thankfully don't have any serious health problems, but that is why I'm working hard to get my body and life back on track before that day. I'm already down 10 pounds in three weeks, so take it from someone who has struggled with weight for years, it really is possible to lose the weight and have a health life. I know that the birth control and metformin that my doctor put me on if really helping me do this, so listen to what your doctor has to say or find one that you trust! Cutting the soda out of your life is HUGE! I'm thankful to my mom that she never let my brother or I get addicted to soda. It was always a privilage when we were growing up and that is the way I always viewed it. This is a great site to find your answers and get support! Good luck on your journey!

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS in late Dec 07. Since that day I haven't had a single soft drink!! I know that caffeine only makes this worse so I don't touch it. I'm trying to just understand all of this and live my life the best way possible to tackle this.
