I am feeling really positive today. I got up and did thirty mins of wee zumba and 20 mins pilates, I think it is going to be a good week.

Yes; this team can be a great lifeline. I found BUG's monthly Stickies really helpful. Posting daily calories and daily weights (and, if I decided to exercise, daily exercise too) really helped to keep me accountable to myself, because I knew that I was sharing my weight-loss choices with others.

Even now, while I am in "maintenance", I continue to post regularly. IMO, a temporary diet means a temporary weight loss.

You can do it!

Hi I am really excited about starting the alternate day diet. It is the first regime in the last ten years I feel may work for me.From as far back as I can remember I have always been overweight. I have managed to lose weight in the past by dieting and exercising but the diet regimes were so restrictive and the exercise regimes so intensive that I could not sustain the levels and it was hard to stay motivated. I still enjoy exercising but not to the same degree as when I was in my twenties. I have eighteen months til I am forty and I am really going to try hard and this forum will be my life line.
