I find that if I am online at a diet site or posting it keeps me focused on my diet and also keeps me out of the kitchen. When I'm exercising I am not eating either. Posting encouragement to others and reading others posts motivates me. If I'm out shopping at the mall I'm away from food and getting my exercise. but it might make your wallet lighter. Looking in all my closets for smaller clothes that I can fit into keeps me occupied and not eating. Trying them on is fun too. I find that making a poster with my goal weight and pictures of me at a weight that I like, maybe even a collage of them helps. If you have no pictures you like try finding pix of someone (not a toothpick) who you find attractive and put your face in place of hers or his. Find pix of someone exercising and put your face on it. Make a place on the poster where you record your weight and the date. Try to find a picture of 10 lbs of fat, or several, and put it on there. I think you can find that online. Visualize yourself thin and think thin. I believe that our minds will make that thin picture come to pass if we focus enough. Our minds are powerful and we need to use them to our advantage. Not just with weight loss but thinking on the good things in your life and how much you have to be thankful for will attract more good things into your life. Thinking about bad things that you have no control over can even make you sick and distract you from dieting. Be generous with those that don't have the things they need, help them when you can, it will bless you more than it blesses them. Making your mind into a happy place to be, can help you lose weight. Treat yourself as a child that you are nurturing, don't be hard on yourself when you stumble but just keep on trying until you succeed, you would be supportive to that child helping them get back on track. Don't let one mistake keep you from getting back on track, not next week, but as soon as you slip. You are not a failure and you haven't lost until you quit. Quitters are not happy people. Keep in mind what a good person you are and see yourself thin. I don't have all the answers but sometimes we get so focused on our failures that we don't even feel like trying. If your child were in a race and stumbled, you wouldn't berate her but you would smile at her and encourage her. Give yourself as much slack as you give others. We can do this together...
