thank you very much, what you said is very helpful i ll try the plan you said it sounds to me a right choice to do, and for my religious fasting days i will have these food after 7 pm. for the water thing i am allowed to dring at 5 am on Ramadan (we usually get up and have a snack and drink a lot of water to prepare ourselves for the fast day :D so i will do the same thing only i wont eat i will just drink a lot) so at least i will stay without water only 14h not 24h i think it's acceptable :)
thank u again :)

As far as your question about spreading out the calories instead of eating them all late in the day, you might have to experiment to see what works for you. For me it is easiest to have fruit and yogurt midday (about 150 calories), then the rest for dinner and a snack before bed. I just feel better doing it that way. If I eat a big breakfast, I want to eat all day emoticon.

But everyone is different.

I am thinking that if you're already used to fasting without drinking water because of your religion, you would probably not be as miserable as I would be if I didn't drink when doing a down day!!

But for a long term lifestyle change, I agree it would be healthier to make sure you're hydrated.

Water is very important for keeping healthy on this diet. Some people have had very bad problems from lack of water on their diet days. If you take supplements on all the days now you should keep taking them, but they are not needed for diet days. Protein helps you stay satisfied longer than other types of food. Good luck with this way of eating(woe).

Hi everyone, i just joined the team because i did some researches and i decided to start the alternate day diet.
but there are some little stuff i need to know more about
1- will it be better for me to not eat my 400 calories until i finish 24 hours fasting? or better to eat during the day? (like having a 400 diner on the DD instead of 3 or 4 snacks during the day)
2- what i am supposed to eat on a DD? protein and fruits or just anything that is below 400 cal?
3- do i have to take vitamins and fiber supplements?
4- what if i dont drink water? in my religion we do fast but not this way and im wondering if i can do the ADD my religion way, so can i not drink water or that will ruin the whole thing?

sorry for asking all this i just wanna start this right, thank you very much :)
