Mrs KMS --

Although our members seem to be using the daily posting of their weight less than we used to, I found that to be a big part in my success. It kept me feeling accountable, both to myself, and to other members. We also watched each others' progress and gave each other a pat on the back when others did well, and encouraged each other when we weren't meeting our goals, which helped us to stay on track. It also helped me to keep my expectations reasonable. Some weeks I lost weight, some weeks I didn't. But, over a month's time, I'd always lose some. And, that consistent success was enough to motivate me to keep going.

I'd encourage you, Mrs KMS, to make use of that thread; we can encourage you on your journey. Although my mother-of-the-bride photos look "fat" to me now (especially the ones that I DON'T have posted), I still feel good about how far I'd come by then in comparison to where I started. I was so glad that I didn't have to wear a "tent dress" to the wedding. :-)

Cindy --

My daughter's wedding was also my motivation to lose weight.

Between Sept 2010 and her wedding in May 2011, I lost 47 pounds. I kept on going and took off an additional 15 pounds by Sept 2011, for a total of 60. Since then, I've been mostly maintaining. Check out my before and after photos in my SparkPage phto album.

Best wishes on your weight loss journey.

Hi Everyone! I am back to try this again. I have been fighting with this weight forever. I can't find any of my Alternate Day Info so am winging it. We have flooded twice in the past few years so it may have been in there or buried under who knows what.

So I am going to try to remember how to do this. My daughter who was born with Spina Bifida and is in a wheelchair is getting married Oct 6 so I really want to get down to a more normal dress size and feel better about myself.

I am a brand new grandma for the first time - my son and daughter -in-law had a baby boy 7 weeks ago on Jan 30. So more motivation to get a bit healthier.

Breakfasts are still a bit of a challenge but I think if I try to stick to fairly uncomplicated menu plans for a few weeks it will give me the jumpstart to keep going.

Nice to be back

Cindy
