Hi - I was on vacation so I am only answering now.
The book by Dr. Johnson is well worth the modest price. Meal replacements are definitely a good option.
I had success fasting until dinner on DD's - but on vacation I finally gave up on that! My plan became modified and I some used meal replacement on my DD or UD's - I just needed to flow with it...
I lost 2.4 on vacation so it worked...but now I am back on my MWF plan for DD's and i am fasting until dinner tonight. I need to get back in the saddle...
PS To my old SP friends - It's been a very rough journey... My beloved, healthy, athletic, tall, dark and handsome husband died in August 2012 from a very aggressive cancer... In the many months caring for him I was stressed and didn't "care" anymore, and put back on 30 pounds I had just finished losing... And then I gained even more...
A short, but very sweet, video tribute to this beautiful man:
Welcome ADSIMIEN, and good luck! Others could best answer your question as I have not changed my meals that much except now I'm eating quite a bit healthier as I usually have a gigantic salad with my meals to fill me up more. I had my most success when I was fasting on Down Days, although some people will fast on occasion, most people on the JUDDD diet don't typically fast. Make sure you try to get a minimum of 8 cups of water a day as that will help with keeping your hunger at bay in addition to all of its other benefits.
I'm semi-new to sparkpeople and been doing some research about this diet plan. I plan on giving it a fresh start Monday and want to know what you guy/gals thought about meal replacements and healthy choice meals to help with my goals.
