Welcome Alice and good luck! I think that weighing yourself after down days is a good idea. It seems to give you some motivation as you usually weigh less after down days.

6 lbs...that's really great!! I've lost 1lb so far, but a few of my UD's have been FULL of calories! I'm looking forward to weighing in a few days. I think I may weigh after my DD's (M,W,F). Just to see how I'm doing. Waiting a week is soooo hard!

Yayyyyy to you too! I have been on this diet going on week 4 and still 6lbs down...(had a bit of a set back when family came to visit) but did not gain it all back...just did not loose any more. So I say I am still ahead of the game. Glad your here :)

Hi everyone!
I'm so excited to have found this group!!! emoticon
I learned about the Alternate Day Diet just last week, and got the book on kindle so I could read it quickly. The only place I had found any message boards regarding this diet was one from several years ago, and I was really wanting some support from others going through it too.
I started last week and yesterday was my 3rd DD. I have 25 lbs to lose, and I only have 300 calories to work with on my DD....not very much! But I've stayed anywhere from 275 - 350 so I'm happy with that. I gained all my weight with my 3 pregnancies, and over the past year I've put back on about 15-20 lbs...and I'm so ready to get back to the size where I'm happy with it.
