Pool exercises and yoga are prefect for you.

Well Im gonna begin Yoga Wednesday...wish me luck! I have a pool and spend most of the summer in it just walkin around and doing some exercises..gonna do more research on water aerobics etc and be ready once I get the pool open!

It helps on so many levels. Flexibility, stress reduction, better posture, better balance, increased lung capacity, increased strength, etc.

I recently started yoga, and it can be done with so many modifications. My teacher is really good about demonstrating how to do yoga on the floor, or on a chair, or modify the moves with straps and blocks, so almost anyone could do it. I love yoga, I wish I knew how great it was a long time ago. emoticon

I think the chair exercise idea is great.

Due to my medical problems I am limited in what I am allowed to do - walking, swimming, yoga, qigong, dance, tai chi, etc.

Thanks for the suggestions...keep em comin please, Im gonna go thru em all til I find the one that works for me!!
Limitations are extensive...as I am on oxygen and my O2 level drops with exertion. I was considering Yoga as it seems to be slower paced...REALLY WANTA DO ZUMBA! LOL But that aint happening..SO...Maybe some resistance bands???

Im going to look into the chair exercises...

I'm certainly no expert but I do enjoy the Chair Exercise Team due to the fact I have osteo arthritis and mobility problems. They have great exercise videos, etc. where you sit down and possibly you'd be able to do a lot of them. Check it out, it might help you. Good Luck.

HELP!!!
I have been searching every where for an exercise program that will work with my health problems....I have found it almost impossible because Cardio is out of the question.

Any suggestions? Whats your favorite and how has it worked for you?
