Hi, I'm Mary. I started low carbing (with Medi-weight loss clinics) about seven months ago. I'm out of flex spending money for the year, so I'm on my own until January, but then I'll be going back. I've been on a 500-800 calorie, 20 carb, 100 protein plan since I started. I guess I've never really left the "induction" phase. I've lost 60 pounds, but I have 30 more to go.

I've found that the low carb lifestyle has really improved my health. My joints are so much happier! I never had any BP or cholesterol problems, but I'm sure those numbers are looking way better. I started this whole thing because of fertility problems -- I have PCOS and insulin resistance. I'm still going because I love the changes I'm seeing! I was on an airplane last week and I actually fit comfortably in the seat! It was amazing!
