You really do have to choose a plan depending on how many carbs you want to consume and what kind.

I would suggest you read some low-carb books. You can probably get them at the library. Then you'll understand how low carb works, and get the food lists.

There are a number of low-carb plans, from Atkins - where you count carbs, to South Beach - where you don't. There's also Paleo & Primal.

You can also search on the internet for low-carb diets. Both Atkins & South Beach have their own websites.
