I'm on the 4 day of Atkins induction. I have'nt lost an ounce even but I don't get hungry between meals & I don't eat as much. I have a lot of health issues & take a lot of meds. I don't get to exercise as much as I need to though,. I would love to hear from someone.

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

You have been given excellent advice. when I was younger I could lose weight on low carb intake, as I aged I had to count calories also. It is a great diet for many people. Stick with it!

I know that lots of low carb gurus say that calories don't count but they actually do. The reason people lose weight on low carb is because they consume fewer calories because they are not hungry and are satisfied. When they add up calories from low carbers who are successful they are consuming less calories. If you are not losing on low carb then you don't have a negative calorie balance. Try eating 1200 calories a day and getting in an hour of exercise. Almost everyone loses on this unless they have substantial medical problems like hypothyroidism, severe insulin resistance, advanced metabolic syndrome, etc. And the Atkins Fat Fast is always an option.

Eat lots of protein and drink water, have a big grilled burger and some salad or a nice steak with asparagus.
It took my body a bit to switch over but 100lbs came off bc I stuck with it......

Some people drop weight very fast others don't, give it some time and stick with it.

If you're exercising you could be building muscle which weighs more and could give the appearance of not losing weight.

Be careful when you pick a fasting program. Some programs will show weight loss until you add food, then BAM, the weight comes back after you start eating solid food again..

I too have recently come back after letting myself go... I am currently on the "Ultimate Reset" program through beachbody... I am on the 18th day of the program and I am down 13 lbs... I have used their workout programs in the past and it really does work...

Check your sodium. You may be getting way too much of it. You shouldn't have over 2000 grams a day normally and if you have a heart issue or losing weight you shouldn't have more than 1500 grams ( as recommended by husbands cardioligist) a day. I retain fluid badly so it's something I really have to work on keeping as low as I can.

Hi team,
I'm just restarting SparkPeople and so happy to find this group. I've been lc'ing for about 6 weeks and cannot believe how good I feel. I never knew the effect that carbs had on my body. I thought it was normal to have GasX or Tums for dessert!
I am really disappointed however that my weight is not changing. How could deleting sugar and starch from your body not kick in weight loss?
I'm thinking that I should try the Atkins Fat Fast. Anyone do this before?
