Welcome Debbie - having both hips replaced at the same time makes for an initial rough rehab but you can do it. Get yourself back onto the beach and you will find the exercise component will come along as you heal. emoticon

Welcome, Debbie. My advice it to love yourself right where you are now. I see lots of overweight ladies at the beach and am glad that that they don't allow our society's preoccupation with thinness to rob them of a chance to have fun. So I hope that no matter what your size that you get out there on that beach in your swim suit and hold your head up high because there won't be a lot of perfect bodies on that beach but there will be a lot just like yours.

Hi
I'm new to the program. My name is Debbie. I would like to be a buddy. Help!!
I need someone to help keep me on track. My weight use to be 250 lbs. i lost 55 lbs. but I'm gaining it back. 5 months ago I had total hip replacements (both at the same time) I could.barely walk. I'm still in physical therapy. I'm gained some of the weight back but also some muscle back. I need someone to keep me motivated. I have a family reunion to go to in June and have to get into a bathing suite.

Nice to talk to someone finally.
Debbie

There are recipes in the induction recipes forum but due to individual preferences most people make their own menus. This is not an Atkins group per se actually - we support all smart carb plans and there are tons so we usually try to post more general information unless people have questions about a particular plan. We do have many members on Atkins or members who have been on it and they can answer questions if you post them in the general forum.

thanks for the welcome

Sparkpage made. Starting induction due to others saying it will help me get to goal better if I have a real plan to go by so I will try that.

Is there a good induction menu plan that people post on?

Thanks for the warm welcome. Support is needed so much.

I always need buddies ....

This is my second go around ... 3 years ago I lost 98 pounds on Atkins and I am here to do it again (and more).

ATKINS ALL THE WAY!

Discarded: 55 pounds ... 108 to go.

I agree with Kierae. Track your food and make it public so we can help with suggestions. Don't be afraid to post questions. There is usually someone around who can help.

Welcome to the team Savannah! I would make a suggestion - make a Sparkpage and make it public so that you can sparkbuddy up with people. It allows folks to be more supportive. I think you will find we have alot of great supportive and knowledgeable folks on the team - all of us do some type of low(er) carb program. emoticon

I am doing the lower carb - low calories approach. I want to eat good food and get healthy. I did low carb many many many years ago but I could never get back on track. I dont have lots of support in real life as my husband is a food pusher.

I am using wonderslim shakes between meals to keep cravings at bay. Taste really good.

Anyway if any of you would like a friend, buddy, to reach out and mentor someone... I have open ears and would welcome the help.
