Hi Smart Carbers!
My name is Jacqui, I just joined this group yesterday, I'm also in the South Beach group, as that's the diet I really stick with.
I've had great success with South Beach in the past, having lost 60lbs for my wedding 4 years ago... and then promptly gaining it all back and then some. whomp whomp...
My work is having a weight loss competition and I signed right up, seeing as I'm so good at losing weight. Really, I'm great at it! I'm just even better at gaining it back, unfortunately. Anyways...
I'm new to the group, looking for new ideas, support, and some chit chat. I've done other diets before, Weight Watchers most recently, and while I did have success with that as well, I love the way South Beach diet takes the counting and the guess work out. Basically, I know what I can eat, and what I can't, so it's pretty easy peasy.
I also feel better when I'm not eating carbs, and I definitely feel like sugar and refined carbs are definitely an addiction for me. One taste and I immediately spiral out of control, and binge eat for days. When they are out of my system, I feel great, have no cravings, and I do great.
