Thanks for the welcome, Dr. Barry Sears wrote a book called the Anti-Inflammation Zone. He also wrote The Zone, as well as others. Anyway pretty simple and basically balance with protein with every meal to keep blood sugar even and snacks, avoid the carbs that cause blood sugar to react excessively. High quality omega 3 (I found a liquid form at health food store peach mango flavored) to help fight the inflammation. Belly fat, carb cravings, always hungry, tired, are signs of silent inflammation. Has to do with hormone imbalance and insulin resistance. I really skipped over the science of it mostly because I had read other articles on it and it seems to fit my challanges and symptoms and the diet makes sense and seems sensible. The hard part is the beginning getting through the cravings as my body adjusts, probably a common enough problem. I go for perfection and when I am not 100% I quit, not this time, I am going to give it my best every day.
