I suspect Jamie is right on this. I've noticed, too, that periodically having some low deficit days (under 300 calories) seems to help reset things for me. You might bump up your intake some, or try calorie cycling (having a couple of higher calorie days a week but keeping the overall calorie deficit for 7 days around 3500 calories). Good luck!

My guess is you are eating too little. Nursing and producing breast milk actually burns a lot of calories and I doubt the BodyMedia algorithms have any way to account for that. So while your BodyMedia may be telling you that you're burning 2300 calories a day, for instance, you may actually be burning more like 2600. So your real deficit is larger than what you are seeing on your Activity Manager. If your deficit is too high, your body will compensate by slowing your metabolism.
If I were you, I would do a little research on exactly how many extra calories you may be burning by nursing and then factor that into your calculations about how much you should be eating.

Hi! Just looking for some support around having a crappy metabolism. I have been using The bodymedia link for 4 months and I love it but.... I am 5'9" and weigh 160. Daily calories have been 1425 with a calorie deficit of 500, I usually do 1000. I haven't lost an ounce. I weigh and log everything I eat. I have been on reduced calories for six years and I don't eat sugar and flour at all. Really. I'm in a 12 step food program that does t allow it. for In the last four months I have really stepped up the exercise. I walk everyday and do boot camp and trx 4x a week. I'm beyond frustrated at this point. I tho I I might be eating too little but I can't really wrap my head around that. In the last three days I have upper my cals to 1700 to see what happens. I feel like I've gained already but want to wait a week to weigh. Ugh. Does anyone Else have this issue ? ? ? Oh yeah, I am nursing my toddler. Maybe I'm holding onto Fat for maternal stores???
