Welcome, Amy! I know there was talk of linking BodyMedia and SP, but I have not heard anything about whether or not that is still in the works. What a lot of people do is either make a 'generic' food entry on the site they don't want to enter everything in on with a value of 100 calories, then use that for just noting calories consumed. With BodyMedia, you have the option of entering an 'estimated' calories consumed, too, which is what I do. I find that's sufficient for me; I keep my detailed info here on SP, then just the total calories consumed on BMF's website. Hope that is helpful and that the device gives you what you need to keep going. It has for me and many others here!

I've been with SparkPeople since Jan 2009. I initially lost 25 pounds, but about 8 pounds found me again. I was really good with SP when I was losing weight, but tapered off to non-existent once I reached goal. I am a Zumba instructor (as a hobby job) and saw the BodyMedia Fit booth at the Zumba Convention. Before I bought it, I asked the man at the booth if it could sync with SP. I thought that would be the coolest thing since so many of my regular foods and recipes are already on here, and I didn't want to have to enter food twice. At the time, he said either that they were in discussion with SP about syncing, or their company was considering it. (My memory is kind of cloudy on the details.) I noticed that SP is now some how connected with Fitbit. Does anyone in this group know of any progress in the SP/BodyMedia Fit connection? Looking forward to getting to know you all in this group and hoping that this thing on my arm will give me some needed UMPH!
