In what ways is it not accurate in tracking sleep? Just curious, so far it's been pretty accurate in tracking my sleep at night--I can clearly see when I'm getting up to use the bathroom or tossing and turning. These gadgets are not perfect, but they are useful. I do the same with tracking calories; I've heard rumors that they are looking at being able to link SP with these, but who knows if it will ever come to pass? One of the things I appreciate about Bodymedia is that they do link up with other things (like my Garmin for heart rate info, the Withings scale, etc.).

Good luck with your Link, hope it is helpful for you in spite of the issues with tracking sleep!

Recently got the Bodymedia Fit Link and have been using it about 3 days. So far it hasn't been very accurate in tracking sleep so I'm wondering how accurate calorie burn is. Also, I'm a night shift worker and I stay on a night schedule when off work which I think might be part of the problem.

I track my intake on SP and put in the total calories on "daily estimate" for BM fit rather than reinvent the food diary.

Too bad SP doesn't link with any of these gadgets, eh?

Hi Joss!
I just started regularly wearing my bugg for about a week now (I've had it for a while and would only wear it once in a while to see how much I burned during specific workouts.)

It will TOTALLY motivate you to move! Last night, I was about to crawl in bed (I take it off at night) and had burned 3,995 calories. So I ran down and up the steps one more time so it was over 4000 for the day. My husband and dogs thing I'm nuts!

Welcome, Joss! That's exactly why I got a bodybugg two years ago, and it did the job for me. Once I saw how few calories I burn without specifically getting in some exercise, it got me started working out more consistently. It becomes a game for me to try and hit all my targets as often as possible, which leads to burning more calories and the resulting weight loss (as long as I keep my calories IN under control, that is!). Hope yours does the same for you!

Greetings. I am jocelyn (my friends just call me joss hence the name) from North Carolina. I have been "sparking" for a while & have decided to try something new. Today I strapped on my BodyMedia Link for the first time. I am hoping it will give me the motivation I need to keep moving.
