My name is Donna and I am trying a new approach/ new start. I am joining two new teams and up-dating a lot of my spark information. I have been yo-yoing the same ten pounds for many years now. I eat fairly healthy and I workout. My friends have told me that I should be an athlete by now...lol. Others have noticed that with all the times that I have lost 5 pounds, there should be nothing left. Yet, I have been mostly running in place and for some reason, my weight jumped up and stayed up last fall. I know that at 56 it is harder to lose, but I have become scared and frustrated. I do not want to never see that lower number on the scale! So, I bought a bodymedia device and I am recommiting to journaling and daily self-evaluation. I want this to be the year I make my goal.
I am also the mother of two wonderful sons and I have two adorable grandaughters. I have a wonderful husband and we enjoy ballroom dance. He is retired and spends about four hours per day at the gym. Needless to say, I am a bit jealous. I teach high school and I do love my work, thus I spend at least 50-60 hours a week on school-related activities. I still have to work on finding that work-exercise-sleep balance.
