Thank you, Tonya! I never really believed I'd be able to lose the weight that I knew I needed to, and I never expected to start running and love it like I do now. I remember so clearly when I started running how hard those run intervals were with C25K (check out the team for that, too--great people and resources there!), and the day I realized I had just run a full mile without walking I almost burst into tears, I was so happy.

I believe the key is to find something that you genuinely enjoy doing for activity, then you will want to do just because it's fun, not because you know you "should" exercise. What you eat matters a lot, but if you're in a sedentary job like me (and most of us), you have to find ways to get more activity into your day. Running did that for me; for some, it's cycling, spinning, Zumba, or something else. Find what works for you and go for it!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm totally motivated by your weight loss and hope to produce numbers as good as yours. I am in week two of couch to five K (C25K) and am hoping to run my first 5k when I'm done. I found a free app that I downloaded on my ipod and it's pretty cool. So I hope to be running like you further down the road. :-)

Welcome to the team! I've been using my bodybugg for 2 years now, and it has been such a big help to me--I was a complete couch potato before I got mine and saw just how little I was moving during the day. You're right, it's not 100% accurate, but it gives us a much better idea of what our bodies are really doing. It's definitely motivated me to become much more active!

Hi all, I'm so glad I found you! I've been searching the sparkteams searching for a group that has the bodybugg/body media amrbands and was having a difficult time. I Received my armband for Christmas and I'm totally loving it! After trying another search today I ran across Getfit2live's spark page and saw that she is one of the leader's here so thought I'd try to find the team and so glad I did.

I've been using my armband since early January. I had to send back for a new armband due to problems with it but so far I'm loving it. I've lost a little over 3 pounds. It's helped me so much by providing specific data related to my own activity. Although not completely accurate, it's good to see about where I'm having activity throughout the day. It's also forced me to get up and move a bit more at work since I sit most of the day.

I look forward to joining in on the challenges and conversation as we work to meet our goals!
