Thanks everyone! Guess I'll try both awhile and see which seems easier. I do like the changes that are in SparkPeople since I last used it, but it's not that difficult, either, with BodyMedia. Except I don't have much entered there, like SP. I think it'll be playing with them over the weekend, then deciding, as I know I don't want to track specifics in two places!
I track on both SP and BodyMedia. However, on the days when I feel lazy I will take the average that BodyMedia gives based on your food pattern. I actually like SP better though.

Welcome, Cindy! I have the Bodybugg, so I can't help a lot with questions specific to BodyMedia, but I'm sure some of the others here who have one can help. I do the detailed tracking of my food here on SP as I prefer the food tracker here; I have lots of Favorites saved so it makes tracking much, much easier. I have set up a 'generic' calorie entry on the Bodybugg site (value of 100 calories) that I use to record all my calories for the day there in order to see my calorie deficit. It's really a matter of personal preference, though; once you get a system down with tracking, it's not nearly as big a deal.
I LOVE my Bodybugg, it has made a big difference for me in understanding what's really going on with my body. It's also been a motivator to get up and MOVE a lot more. Hope you find your BodyMedia to be a great tool as well!

Hi everyone - I'm starting again, with the help of a BodyMedia Core armband. Before, I - one, got frustrated trying to track what I was eating, and, two, wondering how the exercise I did actually translated. I also wondered if the calorie count I was given was right for me. Etc.! So now I feel like I'll have at least some of those answered as well as I'm really curious to see what the sleep monitor shows.
So, a beginning question: Boy, do I dislike tracking food!! I don't mind writing it down; I mind trying to figure out the calories, etc. especially for something that I really have no clue. So, any help there to make it easier? And do you track here still or in the activity manager part on the BodyMedia site? Is one easier/better than the other?
