Yes, I pickle cucumbers, beans and beets with jalapenos in them, and people just can't get enough of them. I just use a regular recipe from a canning book and put a raw jalapeno in the bottom of each jar. I poke some slits in the jalapeno with the tip of a knife first.
I don't can soup, but I do freeze it all the time. Last summer, I dried a lot of veggies, and I've discovered that they make a wonderful soup in the crockpot.
Hello and welcome from saskatchewan, Canada!! I would love to have your recipe for dill pickles. with hot peppers JETBREY. Also some of those sauces and soups you are speaking of SPOOKIEDO, cause that is one thing i have not canned is soups, but it is an interesting idea. I have canned picante sauce and ketchup (among many other things).

I only canned jams for years, and then one of my sons asked me to try dill pickles with a few hot peppers in them. I can't make enough of the darn things! People at work, friends, and my sons, love them. I can't take much heat, so I decided to start making bread and butter pickles so I'd have some to eat too! I've also made dilled green beans with hot peppers. There's nothing special about them -just got the recipes from a canning book. What kinds of soups and sauces do you can?

I just found this team. I've been canning for about 26 years now. My mother-in-law taught me and I love it. My mother-in-law passed about 5 years ago on July 4, I still miss canning with her. I'm glad I found this team I don't know many others that can food, it's kind of a lost art with the people I know. Does anyone have any favorite sauces or soups that they can. I'm looking for some recipes.
