I am a novice at canning and preserving but it's something that I would like to learn more about. My mom has lots of stories about all the canning that my great-grandmother used to to. I do remember that she grew the best tomatoes and cucumbers. Huge, ugly tomatoes that tasted better than anything I have had since. For me, canning/preserving has multiple meanings. It's a connection to my past, and it's also a good way to know that you are eating wholesome, natural foods because you prepared it yourself. Anyway, this team seems like a good place to get info and tips, and hopefully I will be able to contribute as well as I gain more experience.
