Hi Trisha! Welcome to the team. You made me remember how much I loved Crazy Taxi, haha. :)

I have total faith in you! You sound really dedicated, so I bet your Spark journey will be full of successes!!

I haven't officially made the rounds at introducing myself to all the Teams I've been joining, so here I go!

Hi! My name is Trisha and I'm a senior music education major at Oakland University. I've wanted to teach music, and have been, since 4th grade. You can eaisily read more about this on my SparkPage and feel free to ask me any sorts of musical questions there or emailing me personally!

The reason I'm on SparkPeople is because firstly, it is a WONDERFUL sight. Every day I find something new to geek out about (like last week the fitness mapper, OMG! You mean I can map all these wonderful trails around my house and calculate how many calories I burned and how much mileage it was? *squee*).

Secondly, I am on here because I wish to be healthier. Medical conditions include PCOD and hypothyroidism, which will effect if I can one day have children, how much energy I have teaching, and overall length and quality of life. I've been overweight, and now obese, most of my life (since probly...when I was 5). I've never known what it is to be like non-overweight and able to physically do whatever I want, which makes me dissapointed and somewhat sad. But, now that I'm entering adulthood, I have high standards for myself, and know I can make it with the right support. Lets do this thing!

I'd love to eventually be in some sort of leadership role someday here on the site or with those I meet in person. I love helping and guiding others (probly a combination of being the eldest child and a caring teacher). As you can see from the teams I've joined, I have varied interests and can't wait to meet new people. I'd also one day be able to have the courage to link my Sparkpages and actions to my Facebook so that *that* entire community can see what I'm doing as well.

I look forward to reading your comments, blogs, and messages in the time to come, as I hope you look forward to reading mine. Its great we can all come together in this space and find ways to work toward common goals.
