I guess my biggest weakness is chocolate, in any form. I can usually control myself by letting myself have just a little, but the worst is when there are multiple types of chocolate around. If there is cake, cookies, and ice cream in the house, I have trouble picking just one, so I usually end up talking myself into a little bit of each one...which adds up. :-)

I try to limit myself to only one serving a day, but if I can go a day or two without it, that's even better.

The only trick I've got for avoiding it is to keep it out of the house. If I have to go and get it, I usually won't bother, but if I can just grab a cookie from the kitchen, it's really hard to stop myself.

Jersey, I just got an air popper and it is great. No oil needed and tastes fresh. The only thing is there is a cup to put butter and it melts it while popping...if you want. I would suggest getting ms. dash or that fake butter spray instead.

For me though, it is pizza. Absolutely can't resist it. I live in a heavy Italian-American area and there are 115 pizza places (literally) within 10 miles of my house. There is one that makes everything fresh. Their own dough, their own sauce, and sausage with spices in it, oven fired and perfect with a brew. I haven't figured out a way to resist it yet.

1) Teh Chocolates. (and bread, gotta have some sort of grain)

2) I try to have Chocolate at least once a day. Bread, quite a few times a day.

3) CHOCOLATE IS FANTASTIC, it makes me so much more happier :) but i usually purchase a bag of fun size 3 Musketeers bars, they are pretty low fat and quench my craving for dessert, worked well for my weightloss program :)

Here is a food related one... Be honest.

1) What is your go to food? What is that one food that you can not resist?

I have 2... Chocolate and Cheese

2) How many times a week do you have this food?

Err... at least once a day.

3) What are your tips and tricks to limit the quantities that you have? What do you do to make it work into your new healthy life?

Smaller portions, dark chocolate instead of milk, reduced fat cheese instead of regular. Hide the cheese and the chocolate and it's easier to get along without it. I especially try not to have any chocolate (milk or dark) at my desk at work because I'll just sit there and eat it all day...

You can't fail if you don't quit.

Chocolate and cheese. I have each a couple of times a week but I try to keep it in moderation. I guess my only tip is buy the good stuff. I figure if I can only have a small portion, I'd might as well have the best quality I can.

Chocolate is my biggest vice. I have acutally had to flat out stop buying it because I can not have just one piece. I always find myself wandering back to the bag if we have it in the house and before I know it, it is gone. I did buy some Nesquik (the no sugar added kind) and will allow myself a glass of fat free milk with one tablespoon when I am having a chocolate craving and it tends to stop it right there. I have also found that a fruit smoothy will stop the craving too as well as fill me up.

My go to food is bread. Free rolls at restaurants are my bane.

Random bread isn't kept in the house. Only pitas and crackers that I take to work. Now I only have two rolls on Friday night when I go to Texas Roadhouse.

I don't eat them until I have my water also. I eat the rolls slowly while I talk with my husband so sometimes I only end up eating one roll instead of two.

Two is the limit. No refill on the bread basket. I account for them in my calories. I even include the pat of cinnamon butter. Such good stuff.

I sorely wish I had just one "go-to" food. My top three are pizza, Cocoa Pebbles and any kind of chocolate, but especially Almond Supremes (chocolate-covered almonds).

It's terrible, but whenever we can't think of anything to have for dinner we order pizza or pick up the Totino's party pizzas. I've been trying to do a lot of planning ahead so I don't get stuck with that dilemma.

Cocoa Pebbles was, for a while, just a comfort food. Except I can't limit myself to just one bowl. I don't even get them anymore--it's been months since I've had them in the house.

Chocolate...ah. This one's a little trickier. I try to get high-quality, satisfying chocolate that expensive so I won't want to gobble it right away.

It's interesting to read about other peoples' food vices!

mine is cheese, i love cheese, and it's so easy to say "oh I can have cheese, it's not junk food"

I limit the portions, but havarti, grated mozzarella, fresh parmesan, it's hard to limit it

My go to food is cake. Pretty much any cake with frosting or icing, though I prefer carrot, white, or yellow cakes.

It is especially hard, but I tried to limit myself to once a month or even less. And then, I measure out about a 3oz piece and account for the calories accordingly.

My go to food must have is popcorn. Not the microwave kind the on the stove oil popped kind. I love popcorn. I "need" it during my favorite shows or during movies or as a total comfort food when I am upset.

I am sad to admit that I do have it 2 - 3 times a week.

I used to load and I mean LOAD on the extra melted butter and salt. Not I do not add any extra butter and limit the salt I put on. I need to cut back to once a week and get an air popper.

* I am doing this question because it is a time of year we are more willing to give in to temptation and I have one food I cannot get enough of and want some ideas on how to handle it. And its a great way to do that for everyone- give people new ideas and outlooks.
