Tasha and to a great team. (I live in Chaska and go to TX. in the winters:) We are glad you joined us. You may already be aware of some of the following information. I hope I can share some information to help get you started.
Take time to look through this awesome site and begin to use the tools available. I find the nutrition & fitness tracker valuable tools. Track every morsel you eat and count the minutes you exercise even "just walking". Motion counts even if you are starting with a 5 min. walk each day. Work yourself up to at least 30 mins. of exercise daily.
Read the wealth of materials available as they give you wonderful ideas of easy changes you can make.
Build fruits & veggies into your diet. Eat 3 meals a day as well as 1-2 snacks. Keep the snacks healthy, not "junk" foods. They are a lot of empty cals. Drink lots of water as this will help flush your system & give you a fuller feeling thus decreasing the hunger sensation. Do not attempt to eat LESS than 1200cals/day as your brain is told you are starving your body so it retains carbs & fats for the future; thus weight gain. Set up your BMI to get your calorie range and try to stay within it.
Post often. Ask questions and we will help you find the answers. Join in on the fun, challenges & conversations. You just might be able to help others with their dilemmas. Try getting as many SparkPoint as you can. Reason; this leads you to a lot of fantastic information. Most of all, have fun with us.
Best wishes to you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle.
Slow & steady makes a winner of us. Even if we hit pitfalls, get up. Know that a new day is right around the corner. Try to be all that you can be. Work at it a day at a time.

Thanks, evening workouts is a great Idea. I was doing it for a while at the beginning of the year and then I fizzled fast. Nonetheless, thanks for the encouraging words, I am now thinking twice about canceling my gym membership .

Tasha! I'm Sabrina. I'm 32, married almost 8 yrs. I have a 9yr old stepdaughter and two daughters (5&3). We're trying for one more. I know how you feel. I am also so busy and tired. I still managed to give up my MDew. I workout at night after my girls are in bed. Mostly. It seemed hard at first. Give up caffeine and work out at night when I'd rather relax on the couch before going to bed? Well, I developed a back condition (hereditary). After 10mths of not being able to do anything..I lost a lot of muscle. Once I made it through PT..That was rough and got the ok to do strength training I took it serious. I quit the caffeine and started to workout no matter how tired I am. I feel great! I'm not as tired anymore, I've made a lot of progress too. SP has been just what I need to push me. Hope you like SP too.

Hi I am Tasha. Wife and mother of three (7,4, 17mos). Currently, I'm finishing up my master's degree and work full-time as an employment trainer. I'm busy, busy, busy and when I am not I'm tried, tried, tried. Usually, I loose all my baby weight by my 6-wk check-up but not the third time around.
I'm trying hard to carve out time for myself to get in shape and be more healthy. I am 206lbs. and have a weight loss goal of 30lbs by Christmas and 50lbs by March.
