Thanks for the support! I am located in Bloomington. I would love to take full advantage of this website, unfortunately I am only able to access the internet when I am at work or when I am visiting my mom's house. I'm not sure that with the gas prices that I should really be driving to my mom's everyday
I definitely need to work on incorporating more fruits and veggies into my diet and eating more regularly rather than skipping meals. As for fluids, my issue isn't drinking empty calories (I only drink water), rather not drinking enough water. I can go all day with no water and not even realize I haven't had a drink yet. If anyone has any more ideas of how I can improve, please let me know. I'm all ears!!!!
Welcome Back! Sorry, I can't help with the location. I'm way down in SE MN! It is important to get healthy for your boys, but it's more important to do it for you. Your health should be at the top of your list then everything else will fall into place. I hope you stick with us this time. You can do it!

You may already be aware of some of the following information and I hope I can share some information to help get you started.
Take time to look through this awesome site and begin to use the tools available. I find the nutrition & fitness tracker valuable tools. Track every morsel you eat and count the minutes you exercise even "just walking". Motion counts even if you are starting with a 5 min. walk each day. Work yourself up to at least 30 mins. of exercise daily.
Read the wealth of materials available as they give you wonderful ideas of easy changes you can make.
Build fruits & veggies into your diet. Eat 3 meals a day as well as 1-2 snacks. Keep the snacks healthy, not "junk" foods. They are a lot of empty cals. Drink lots of water as this will help flush your system & give you a fuller feeling thus decreasing the hunger sensation. Do not attempt to eat LESS than 1200cals/day as your brain is told you are starving your body so it retains carbs & fats for the future; thus weight gain. Set up your BMI to get your calorie range and try to stay within it.
Post often. Ask questions and we will help you find the answers. Join in on the fun, challenges & conversations. You just might be able to help others with their dilemmas. Try getting as many SparkPoint as you can. Reason; this leads you to a lot of fantastic information. Most of all, have fun with us and stay connected.

Hi all! My name is Anna and I have been on and off SP for the last five years. I have this medical condition called no self control . It seems everytime I start out I end up quitting because a relaxed, yummy food lifestyle is just too good to give up apparently. So, here I am again toying with the idea of becoming both healthy and a good role model for my children. Which brings me to my children...I am a single mother to two boys. They are almost two and almost three years old. They were both oopsies, but I wouldn't trade them in for the world. My boys are my life!
I am here looking for some much needed support. I am grateful for any support, but am looking mostly for local (Twin Cities of MN) support as I feel I need someone that I can relate to on many aspects and possibly even become friends with off of SP. My hopes are to build friendships that I can bring into the real world and therefore help force my hand by seeing the good influence of others and having a mutually supportive friendship (something I do not have with many of friends and family).
