Exciting! for me, when I first decided I was going to sign up at a gym and start getting into shape I was given your run of the mill exercise plan which included both strength and cardio, but I found I enjoyed the strength more so I just went from there! I do like to run too but I get bored quickly so I'd never make a good long distance runner :)

As for being a vege... I never ate much meat anyway as it made me feel sluggish and I didn't like the taste of globby fatty meat (the texture of cooked but not crunchy chicken skin made my skin crawl...) then I started on my degree and learned about the impact meat production was having on the environment and decided to give it the heave-ho! that was almost 2 years ago...

what sort of training have you been doing? also, are you vege? vegan? somewhere in between? just curious :)

So to be TOTALLY honest, I'm not looking so much to body build -- I'm focused entirely on the practical ("how much can I lift") vs the aesthetic ("how big are my muscles") -- But a group for vegans and vegetarians to gab about weight training? Count me in!

I've got a question though-- how did you (yes, you!) get involved in vege and in weight training? :D
