Hi everyone. I'm Shari, a full time secretary, college student, wife, and gardener. I have been planting my garden for the past 6 years and I love it. This year my garden is 25' x 50', with 3 types of sweet corn, yellow potatoes, 4 types of tomatos, snap peas, green beans, lima beans, 7 types of peppers, 2 types of cucumbers, broccoli, 2 types of watermelon, cantaloupe, butternut squash, yellow squash, and zucchini. I also have blueberry bushes, a plot of strawberries, blackberries, and a small paw paw grove. This fall I plan on putting in a couple of Zestra (honeycrisp) apple trees and adding a few more blueberry bushes and maybe a small plot of grapes. I am looking forward to sharing tips on growing and preserving with all of you :-)

Thanks again for the kind welcome :) Yup, I tend to have lots of veggies laying around. Today we ate some fresh picked field peas (black eyes) some tomatoes and cucumbers. I have to get up early and pick some zippers-got enough to cook a pot and maybe put a little up. Y'all friend me if you like, would enjoy the interaction!
Hi all- I'm a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I live in Central Florida on the family ranch-I'm an avid gardener. I need to lose about 20-30 lbs...and just got back on the sparkpeople site. Lovely to meet y'all.
