HI welcome. I have clay also, and if I had to do it over again, I might have put in raised beds. They are easy to build if you are a little handy with a hammer and saw and you could just pour in good soil and be ready to go. I have struggled with my rocky clay soil for 5 years and because of all of the amendments I have put in, I will have to put in higher "walls" for the beds. Should have done it from the beginning

I have had a garden before when the kids were small and it gave the something to do in the summertime. I am thinking of taking up bed gardening, perhaps 2ft by 4ft. I don't think my body can handle digging much for that that in the wet clay ground we have here.
