I might have mentioned that I broke down (before my back did) and purchased a http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-3901358-104437
22 Mantis Tiller.. It was one of those things I alwaaaaays wanted, after a couple hours turning my garden by hand I said whateva and ordered.. I searched for a code which gave me 10% off and with the free shipping.. My back was el fuego already so it didn't take much to make up my mind.

I have three rows of some kinds of onions right now, that we planted last year from seed. None of them came up and now they are beautiful. One row is scallions, one row is shallots and the 3rd row is white boiling onions!! I can't get over it. What happened??? Does anyone know?

I noticed today that I have cilantro coming up outside, it must have self seeded...I allowed one of the plants to go to seed so I could save the seeds for this year.

Ooh, I forgot to mention picked some of the biggest artichokes today, and there are still about a dozen smaller ones left. YUM. Artichokes for dinner!

We are just finishing our winter garden. The broccoli is done, the kale is finished, with a small amount in the fridge, the snow peas are almost done, the swiss chard is prolific, and the garlic is looking great. We planted tomatoes 3 weeks ago, and already have flowers on several of the cherry types. We have purple potatoes planted, and the green plants are looking very healthy.

In the next few weeks we will be adding more tomatoes, peppers, okra, green beans, watermelon, and cucumber.

I love my garden! emoticon

Welcome to the team and amen, sister. I can't wait to get out and play in the dirt again. That's my summer stress release.

Write on!

Hello, I neglected my garden last year but i'm so eager to start again. It makes me feel good and is such a great stress relief. I guess i'm an organic gardener since all i use is water and try to use plants that are from this area. They tend to do better. emoticon
