Thank you. I need the encouragement and reminders that I CAN do it. I was walking three miles a day five days a week before I got pregnant and continued until my son was almost 2. I really want and need to get back into it. I know I can do it. I just need motivation and encouragement. A little warm weather would hurt. I don't really like taking him out on very cold days.

I started out just walking to get the pounds off as I have had 2 total knee replacements 6 months apart. I walked just a short distance to start and added more each day or every other day. Walking works wonders. Take your little one to the park and let him play and you walk around alittle with him in sight. You will feel exilerated and start to get healthier from the walking and the fresh air. Your son will wear himself down and get fresh air. You both win. I am a grandmother raising a 10 year old I have had since birth. She was a real challenge in the beginning as I would take her outside in the playground at the complex I lived in and when it was time to go in I had to get my neighbours to help me catch her. It was very trying but I kept it up for both our sakes, She is ADHD & OCDD.

Hi, I am a stay at home mom, or so we say. We try to get out as often as possible. I have a three year old son. I was doing really well with getting fit. Then, I had him. Then got arthritis in my knees and have really slacked on everything. I hope to find encouragement and ideas to motivate me. I want to get into shape and keep up with my son. Also, teach him to be healthy. Thanks everyone.
