Hey Valmiev! Welcome! I have two boys as well ages 12 and 8. I wish we had a karate class closer. I understand about the DS. The boy's dad, my ex, got them ipods for Christmas and they spend a lot of time on them sometimes. I think its okay that they have them though. Its our way of showing them how to handle their time in moderation and how to make good choices. I mean if it isn't one thing distracting humans from exercise and eating healthy, its another, especially us mothers. I want to wish you the very best on your journey to a healthier you!

I am a 38 year old nurse and mother of 2 boys ages 7 and 9. I have slowly put on the weight since my first son was born. I want to get healthy for me and my kids. I just enrolled my boys in karate to give them more exercise and they also play basketball. Otherwise they are happy to sit and play with their DS. I sometimes wish I would never have bought them one.
