hi! hope you like SparkPeople - I love it. Do you have any questions about the site?
Do you or your husband like seafood? I'm not a big fish fan, but enjoy scallops in stir fry and fish in tacos. Those are meals that are easy to lighten up.
As far as playtime goes, do you have nearby museums or gardens that you could join? Sometimes we go places just to get out of the house - it doesn't burn a ton of calories but at least we are walking around and not home snacking out of boredom. Even a trip to the library for storytime gets them moving around when we sing and dance.

My sister introduced me to this site and so far i am very happy with it. I will be turning 30 this year and have been over weight my ENTIRE life. I also have 2 small children at home, 5 and 3, and really want to be able to enjoy play time. I'd love to just have the energy to play with them because most days i do not. I know that i am missing out. I really want to teach them good eating habits so they do not have the same problems i had growing up. Also, i have a bit of a challenge at home, my husband is allergic to anything feathered and eating red meat and pasta all the time is not healthy. So I am absolutely open to any and all ideas and suggestions. Thanks so much and i look forward to getting to know everyone.
