Hi, I'm Julie. I have always been overweight. Except once. I walked, biked, swam, so much, ate so little, and here I am again. I am just plain burnt out of dieting. I have dieted so much. I am Tired of it. I have seen a dietician. She tought me about 2 many carbs. Portion size etc. I am 49. I have driven a school bus now for 21 years. My children, Tom 12, Cathy w/b 10 in a few short days. I live an upside-down lifestyle. I work days. My husband of soon 27 years drives regional truck at night. Of coarse freitght moves at night. I drove truck with him b 4 kids. It was a very hard job. I am active. Recently for my b-day Tom and Cathy got me the Wii fit plus. I just love it. I usually play at least 4 times a week if not more. I 'm set up to burn 310 each time. So I play that long at least. Most of the time more. I still like to walk, ride by bike, and swim. I'm at the point in my life where I have noticed my body changing. I'm soooooooooo in denial of my age. So, My blood pressure has been under control for many years. Usually around 123/73. One of my kidneys never grew and it seemed to my drs. this could be the leading cause. I have terrible vericose veins. That is on my 2 Do list.
In a nutshell I am looking to find a way to loose weight slowly, (I've lost inches already). and keep my hunger under control. I am an over-eater. I just eat too much. It's that simple. My children have fallen into that. As a Mom, I learned that you cannot deny them, just teach them to make proper choices. I do that myself. My husband, on the other hand, always says, "what's for desser?". I try to serve fresh fruits. I am so board with the same recipes, making food, and doing dishes (no dishwasher), So I can't wait to find out new things. So glad your here!!! Summer should be fun if it ever gets here!!!
