Hi LilBird and Lucycol,
I've been doing my overeating at nite and in my room since I was a child, more than 50+ years. It has been a disaster for me, as I am defensive when anyone brings up my weight issues. I am the one who has decided, with my daughter's help to get down to the nitty gritty and do it. I finally admitted that I am addicted to this overeating pattern and need to stop. She led me to SoarkPeople and I'm so glad she did. I am finding help in doing the nutrition daily and journaling. This site is also going to help knowing there are others who know what emotional eating is about. We can do it if we hang together and support each other. After three days, I can already feel new strength and determination growing. Good luck in our journeys!

I like to read, crochet, play some video games and I just got this notebook computer so I am having fun with it. Right now though I am between books and crochet projects. I have been spending alot of time looking at this web site so haven't been snacking (for 2 days at least). I am trying to take it one step and one day at a time. I am always buying extra stuff to eat at the store where I work so today I made sure I left my money at home. Thought about it alot but only ate what I packed so I did good, today.

hello Lucy and llbird, both welcome to sparks people and the team... at night if having a problem make a goal and try to stick with it.. kitchen close or brushing your teeth,, the taste of food and tooth paste yuck

welcome to the binge/snacker`/closet team. I too am having same problem, eating all the time, not too bad in daytime. It's the night time for me. I can't get started to loseweight yet. I keep saying I will and can't get started. But there are so many nice people here that can help.

I hope I'm doing this right. I'm new to all of this. I am constantly focused on food and I need to change the way I live. I eat every chance I get for fear I may get hungry. I eat when no one is looking. Every time I go to the store for anything (which is too often) I have to get a snack. I work at a store, so food is too accessible. And my biggest fear is I am passing all of these bad habits of dealing with food on to my daughter. I have been big all my life (over 200lbs. since 13 yrs. old), and I am now 50 and my body is screaming at me to change. I hope this site can help me do this. Please help.
