Hi there, I'm new to this team too and boy it's as if you wrote that intro for me (except that I've been married for 13 years)! I've always binged and always hide any late night snacks from my family. I'll go so far as to run to the store, buy donuts and candy, eat them on the way home and throw the wrappers in the trash before I walk in the door! Thank goodness for this team and not feeling alone and crazy!
It's a vicious cycle, isn't it?! I find that if I RUN to the computer when I'm having temptations and come to this site, it helps me sooo much. I'll log on and find myself distracted and, before I know it, the temptation is gone and I'm feeling so good about myself for having resisted that my motivation pumps up just that much more. YOU CAN DO THIS!

First, congratulations o n your engagement and upcoming wedding. Second, Welcome to the team. You are not alone. We can help you through this with our support and unconditional love. I hope your fiance knows about your eating and will be supportive of you. That will help you tremendously a s well. Stay positive and stay busy. Stay out of the kitchen after a certain time at night. That often helps. Write down your feelings in a journal. What are you feeling that makes you wan to eat? Things like this can help. Call a friend. Go for a walk. If you believe in prayer, then pray for strength and courage to not eat. Keep writing here on the team. Get involved here on Spark.

Hi, my name is Angie. I am engaged and my wedding is August 14,2010. I am trying to lose weight, and have been struggling with binge eating and night snacking for years...I am a closet eater too!!
